In our opinion, the web industry does a fantastic job of making Search Engine Optimization (SEO) confusing. Throwing in terms that are over the user's head, mentioning technical jargon, and even dishonest information - SEO has become a top request for many businesses to Cyberfluent.

Good, solid SEO is achieved by good content. Period. Search Engines are much smarter than they used to be. Ten years ago, many web developers would "stuff" their websites with hidden keywords, tricky links, and meta data that was meant to confuse the search engine. Visiting a search engine in 2002 would produce some random results. Let's give a real life example: A web developer builds a website and inserts his own key words. He is building a site for swim suits. In his hidden words, he places random key words across the dictionary, everything from Mortgage Rates to Widgets. The result: that swim suit site was receiving a lousy visitor length rating because people searching mortgage rates were getting a site for swim suits. Search engines are no longer fooled by these practices yet many developers still employ these techniques with very lousy results. Remember, the search engines are smarter now. Therefore, these methods are harmful to the ranking of your website and can actually get you blacklisted on credible search engines like Google.

Cyberfluent has a better approach. A search engine now looks at a website much like a human does. When your topic is diabetes, the search engine is looking for clean, well-written content about diabetes. That's the addition. Here's the subtraction. Clean content doesn't mean stuffing your "well-written" content with as many key words as you can that you feel fits your content. Just write good, solid content. Imagine what human beings will think when they read your page or topic (which by the way, THEY WILL). They are your audience. If you write the content on your website, blog post, or news feed to reflect their needs - you will have a much better chance at high search engine rankings.

So why have you heard so much about key words? You've heard about key words for a very good reason. When you write good content, you will naturally come up with words and phrases that explain your topic. These words or phrases will most likely encompass no more than 10% of the content in it's entirety and give a clear message to the reader what your topic or web page is about. It all comes back to well-written content.

We often get requests about meta data. These are the descriptions and key words placed on the back of every page. While they are useful in today's SEO climate, they are definitely not the be-all end-all solution. Yahoo is the only major search engine left that uses meta data as a means of ranking your page and Yahoo will still place a strong emphasis on your content. Google and Bing are focused on what the readers will see, not what the meta data says.

Craigslist is better than the secrah engines you can find temp works in gigs. The general job secrah engines have an abysmal success rate often cited as 4%.Using them is one of the 4 worst mistakes you can make job secrahing:You're starting a summer job secrah late much of the hiring was finished by April. 65% of summer jobs are filled by people who do did them last year.So you may be filling in for those who got hired but didn't work out. Might think about handing out business cards Summer Replacement Expert . You can design and get free cards at you paying shipping.Otherwise, may want to think about volunteering for a nonprofit to bulk up your resume for next year (when you'll start summer job hunting in January)..
