YOU'RE GETTING THE FULL PICTURE

UNDERSTANDING THOSE SEARCH ENGINES: PART TWO OF WHO KNOWS HOW MANY

Search Engine Optimization is one of those things that is very hard to measure when you are first engaging a web developer. You just know that you want it for your website, and you trust the experts to deliver superior SEO services. But your conversation should not stop there. That's why Cyberfluent has developed a short list of myths associated with getting your website ranked higher.

How about this for an example: You go out to ABC Web Developers and they present you with a list of 50-60 points that they will implement when building your SEO package. But if you rememeber from our previous post a few weeks ago, in the world of SEO, content is king!  It doesn't mean that there aren't appropriate steps that a web developer must take from a technical standpoint to ensure the search engines see the developed website, but content is the linchpin.

  • Myth 1: I need to register my website with search engines for search engines like Google to find me. Not true. Search engines can find your site without the aid of submitting your website URL to them .
  • Myth 2: I should focus on getting great rankings rather than making sure my visitors become customers. Not true. Think of your website like a store. Would you rather have 100 customers a day that purchase nothing or 5 that are guaranteed to purchase something? Your goal is to make sure that your website is TARGETED to the proper audience, not attempting to raise traffic levels.  This is achieved by good, clear, and targeted content - not trickery like hidden keywords.
  • Myth 3: I should try to rank well for a single-word term. Not true. Think about how big the web is. Let's say you sell carpets. Getting your site ranked high on search engines for "carpets" is nearly impossible unelss your website has an widely established platform. That takes years, and a lot of networking. You are wiser to focus on 2 to 3 keywords that best fits your business. Instead, try this as an example key phrase: "carpets upstate sc." This key phrase is more realistic and gives a much higher probability of getting ranked in the top 10.

Remember, content is king. If you have well-written content, your website will have no trouble getting ranked properly. Well written content incorporates the key phrases that best describe your business. It also addresses getting your site ranked on everything relevant that your content talks about. Cyberfluent can help your business with SEO. It is a service that we know benefits every client. We encourage our clients to purchase an SEO package. Just know your facts, and remember that it's about the content more than the "trickery."

Craigslist is better than the secarh engines you can find temp works in gigs. The general job secarh engines have an abysmal success rate often cited as 4%.Using them is one of the 4 worst mistakes you can make job secarhing:You're starting a summer job secarh late much of the hiring was finished by April. 65% of summer jobs are filled by people who do did them last year.So you may be filling in for those who got hired but didn't work out. Might think about handing out business cards Summer Replacement Expert . You can design and get free cards at vista.com you paying shipping.Otherwise, may want to think about volunteering for a nonprofit to bulk up your resume for next year (when you'll start summer job hunting in January)..
